Is It You?

Have you ever said this?

• This is too complicated.

• I don’t have time.

• I already know this.

• This is too boring. I have better things to do.

 

Over the holiday, I read Unlimited Memory by Kevin Horsley. He is known for his super memory despite growing up as a dyslexic child. His solution to improve his memory came when he realized it was he who was setting limitation on himself.

 

When we want to improve anything, including our health, we need to 1) learn, 2) implement, 3) evaluate, 4) adjust, and 5) repeat the whole process. The biggest obstacle in taking these steps is almost always due to the limitations we put on ourselves.

 

Next time you catch yourself skipping any of these steps, please ask yourself, “is it you?”
