“Cases of dementia have increase by a third in just the last six years.” – Dr. Bruce
There is currently no cure available for dementia, and the number of its cases is
increasing rapidly. Drugs after drugs have failed to show their efficacy in reversing
dementia, and all they can do is masking symptoms. Once it starts, there is no going
back. This is why prevention is absolutely critical.
While there are many risk factors for this disease, you can dramatically reduce your
risk through everyday nutrition because being a diabetic doubles the risk of dementia.
By the age of 65, almost 75% of US population is either diabetic or pre-diabetic,
and many are not even aware of their condition. In addition, if you are relying on
food manufactures to create healthy food for you, you are doomed.
Today’s food manufactures hire scientists to find the most addicting formulation
by adding cheapest ingredients, and sugar (and high fructose corn syrup) is one of
them. Below is the NPR’s article.
