Being Selfish?

“You’ll have more to give when you take care of yourself. So not taking care of yourself is selfish.” – Tomoya 2015

Watching a loved one going through tough time is difficult, and it is in our nature to reach out and offer help. While helping someone is a beautiful thing, some of us get in trouble when we prioritize someone else’s health before ours.

Keeping ourselves healthy requires constant adjustments and efforts, and many researches are showing how little it takes lose the fine balance. While we are living longer, we are becoming sicker, and health care costs are rising rapidly. That’s why we can’t afford not taking care of ourselves.

If you feel guilty about taking care of yourself first, please think of this.

“If you become sick, how much resource will you rob from others?”

Let’s make ourselves healthy both physically and mentally in 2015, so we’ll have more to give. It is your health first, then others’.
